One of most
prague favorite cycle tracks and frequented through
summer season. Mostly asphalt surface track starts
near famous Mánes gallery and goes to Zbraslav town
& bridge and far to Vrané nad Vltavou
Follow cycle
track A2 and near Zbraslav bridge you can find way
to Zbraslav old town (behind a river) or to
Břežanské valley - nice quiet forestal oasis with
small zoo. Many high uphill gradient ways leads to
the Závist hill. There you can find ruins and other
remains of ancient celtic town - oppidum Závist.
Romantic forestal tracks are ideal for experienced
cyclists only
Hill opposite
is called Šance and offers interesting cycle tracks
and nice view-points through the valley back to the
river
Interesting is
that whole Šance hill is bordered by remains of
ancient celtic fortification
Závist and
outskirts is regarded as one of most romantic areas
in Czech rep. with remains of most important ancient
celtic residential area in Europe
